Navigating the NAR Settlement as a Home Seller

Understanding the NAR lawsuit and how it affects home sellers.

If you’re wondering how the National Association of Realtors settlement will affect you as a home seller, don’t worry—your needs and interests are prioritized. Today, I will explain the upcoming changes that will take effect in July this year once the NAR issue is settled.

The most important change that will happen is the listing agent and buyer’s agent will no longer share the commission, but instead, they each will have their own separate and distinct compensation. This means that you can sell your home faster by offering to pay the buyer’s agent commission; or to cover the closing costs. That way, you have more to offer your buyers, and more buyers will appreciate that, which will likely lead to more offers on your property.

Overall, there may be changes in the real estate landscape, but the destination and goal remains the same—which is to help you sell your home fast while maximizing your property’s value.

If you have any questions, we would love to walk you through the process of being a successful seller in today’s market. Please feel free to call us at (979) 325-2134. We look forward to hearing from you!
