More Than A Home (MTAH) was inspired by Marcy Moorhead‘s work as Co-Founder of Child Freedom Coalition, a nonprofit supporting children rescued from trafficking and exploitation in South Asia.

Through trusted local partners, Child Freedom Coalition has helped build a children’s home that now provides full-time care for approximately 1,300 children. Many of these children were rescued from slavery in rock quarries, brick kilns, brothels, and other forms of exploitation. Today, they have something many never had before—a safe home, a family environment, medical care, spiritual nurture, and education.

As these children grow into young adults, many continue into vocational training programs that help them build independent and sustainable futures. One of the most inspiring outcomes is that many graduates choose to give back from their own earnings to help support the children still in our care. Because of their generosity, the children’s home is now approximately 75% self-sustaining, creating opportunities to expand this model and help children in additional regions.
